About Vic’s business career

After a career as a programme manager & project director, consistently successful in launching and running time sensitive projects in highly pressurised environments, Vic went on to specialises in coaching & mentoring. Vic is now retired but still undertakes the occasional coaching & mentoring assignment.  Since May 2015 Vic has been a District Councillor in the Lewes area representing a number of villages in the Ouse valley between Lewes and Newhaven. He is a member of the Liberal Democrats.

About Vic’s earlier career:

He helps individuals & teams succeed in their organisations. He participates in the UK Government sponsored programme ‘Get Mentoring’ ( and is particularly interested in helping young people with their careers.

He founded his consultancy, Pathfinder Projects Ltd., in 2001 which provided business & technical consulting as well as project & programme management services. As a manager & consultant, he has successfully taken on roles in the commercial, business and technical arenas. For example, he was GPRS/3G Design Manager for the Ericsson/ Vodafone core mobile network in the UK. He has managed and provided consultancy for Damovo UK, Hertz Cars, Barlcays Capital, Alstom and Ericsson. Through Damovo UK he worked with organisations such as the Metropolitan Police, hospitals & universities.

From 1994 to 2001 he was a manager with Ericsson in the UK. He has managed projects and provided consultancy in countries as diverse as Sweden, China & Greece.

In 2009 he retired from full time work taking on mentoring & coaching assignments. From 2009 to 2012 he was chairman of a small estate property management company, Sandycombe Properties Ltd where he been successful in reorganizing the business on a sustainable basis.

He is a member of the IOEE (Institute of Enterprise and Entrepreneurs, CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing), IoD (Institute of Directors( & BCS (British Computing Society). For a number of years he was a director of the IIM (Institute of Interim Management).

His other members include: the WWF, CPRE and South Downs Society.
