George (L) & John Ient (R) flank my mother, Myfanwy (Toby ) Ient, in a photo taken in Baguio, On the main island of Luzon, Philippines in July 1940. They had been evacuated there from Hong Kong. Later in 1940 they were taken on to Australia where they spent the rest of the war.
